Warden of Ash Strategy
Defeat the Warden of Ash with the right frost preparation, pylon order, final-ring timing, and a clear reward plan.
Fight overview
-
Hammer guard
The Warden raises its hammer after two short swings.
Dodge the third strike and answer with frost damage.
-
Ember pylons
Two pylons ignite at opposite sides of the arena.
Break both pylons before attacking the Warden again.
-
Burning ring
The arena edge burns and the safe area contracts.
Stay near the center and spend saved burst damage after each hammer chain.
Preparation
Enter around level 14 with a frost weapon and enough recovery for one mistake in each phase. Fire damage is resisted, so even a modest frost option produces safer openings.
Activate the western lift before the attempt. The lift remains available after defeat and removes the longest part of the return route.
Phase one
Hold medium distance and count two short swings followed by a delayed overhead strike. Dodge toward the Warden on the third strike, then use one complete frost attack sequence.
Leave the arena edge clear. Fire patches remain briefly and can remove the route you need during the next phase.
Phase two pylons
Move to the western pylon as soon as both pillars ignite. Break it, cross behind the Warden during the hammer recovery, and destroy the eastern pylon.
Do not spend burst damage while either pylon remains active. Their shield sharply reduces boss damage and makes the risk unnecessary.
Final phase
The outer ring burns, leaving a smaller safe circle. Stay near the center, dodge the three-hit hammer chain, and use saved burst damage only during the full recovery.
If Scorch reaches two stacks, use a cleansing draught before attacking. A clean final window is more valuable than one rushed hit.
Rewards
Open the chest beside the arena exit to receive Frostburst Sigil after the first victory. Later clears provide cinder cores for Emberbrand upgrades.
The western exit returns directly to the lift checkpoint, so collect the reward before exploring optional rooms.
